2 lbs in 4 days!

I am really excited, I got on the scale this morning and I lost another pound! Last week was a pretty bad week, I was dealing w/a lot of stress after I started my weight loss plan. I was upset because I thought it was just going to take a toll on my goals and just put me back farther but I pushed through it and tried to stay positive. I am keeping a more detailed log on my Weight Loss blog so that is helping to relieve a little stress.

How is everyone else doing w/their goals?

1st pound lost!

I got on the scale this morning & lost 1 whole pound! WOOT! This is my first pound of the New Year, I'm so happy & I earned myself some cash! What did I do? Here's an example:

Exercise: 63 min. on Elliptical
Food:
Breakfast: FIXX (200 cal. milk included)
Lunch: Chipotle 1/2 of a Chicken Bowl w/small Dr. Pepper (675 cal. I've heard Chipotle, although their food is healthy it runs high in calories because portion size about 1100 for a full serving, so I cut that in half since I share w/my boyfriend)
Afternoon snack: 2 handfuls of regular chips (lets say about 175 cal.)
Dinner: Subway 6" Cold Cut Combo (sandwich only) w/cup of water. (410 cal.)

Total cal. consumed 1460 (I can't have more than 1969 cal. or I will gain weight) Are you thinking what I'm thinking? I can safely have another 350 and still be under. I really just wanted to show you that you don't have to starve yourself to lose weight. We eat out every meal for Lunch & Dinner. Just do a little homework, I always ask for a nutrition guide wherever I go out to eat. My weakness is the Dr. Pepper, I try really hard to keep it down to 1/day. I really hope that helps someone.

Vegetable Soup Recipe: Yummy!!

Since I was starving so much yesterday I decided to make some of the ZERO point and FREE vegetable soup. I just threw this together myself and it was SOOOOOOOOOO good and filling. Here is the recipe:

Vegetable Soup

About 3 cups of chicken bouillon
1 bag frozen mix (broccoli, cauliflower, water chestnut, snow pea pods)
1/4 bag frozen green beans
2 fresh carrots, cut
2 fresh celery stalks, cut
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/4-1/2 tsp salt
1/4-1/2 tsp lemon pepper

Hi all...

I am so excited to be here. I need this BADLY. In the past year I have put on 40 (YES FORTY) pounds. I had a complete hysterectomy a little over a year ago. It is my guess that this is why I have inflated like a balloon. Well, my new years goal was to get healthy and lose some weight. I got on the treadmill for the first time this year a couple of days ago and had chest pains! Yikes! Anyway, I went to the doctor and my blood pressure was 190/120. Not good and to further it he did an EKG and it came out abnormal. This is alarming to me cause I am only 36. However, my mom had a heart attack and a quadruple bipass at the young age of 50! So anyway, that is where I am at right now. The doctor told me NO exercise UNTIL I get a stress test with a cardiologist! I am feeling a bit defeated right now! Hopefully all goes good and I can get on a exercise routine. I will keep you posted. Even though I cannot exercise, I am eating better and cut out pop all together! I actually lost 2 lbs last week. YAY!!!!

It's a New Year, Lets get Going

I really need to lose weight this year and I would rather a small forum than the huge ones like Sparkspeople. They are great for info but I'd like to have a more personal support system.
Is anyone still interested?
