I really need to lose weight this year and I would rather a small forum than the huge ones like Sparkspeople. They are great for info but I'd like to have a more personal support system.
Is anyone still interested?

I'd love to join you ladies. I have a LOT to lose, probably 65 lbs ideally, but will be happy with 45-50. My goal is to be down by this time next year.
I'm in. Started back on my food plan (we have a place here that prepares Fresh Healthy Meals that are delicious) this week. I lost 40 pounds at the end of 2007/early 2008 by doing it and some workouts. I have about 100 pounds I'd like to lose before our wedding in May 2010.
I want in too! I have put on FORTY lbs in a year. I had a hysterectomy and last October 2007 and it has been down hill since then.

I am with you all...I had lost 60 pounds a few years ago and was really good about keeping it off and going to the gym, until my ATV accident in September. I am fully recovered, but during the recovery I had quite a few dizzy spells and I am scared that dieting will bring some of that back. I am doing a Weight Loss contest with a group of friends. It is month to month and whoever loses the most weight each month, the others chip in to buy them a massage, facial, pedicure or something. I just weighed in last night and I am up 31 pounds. My ultimate goal is to lose 47 pounds. I started this morning just cutting back on calories and I am going to try to just cut back on portions and high sugar or processed foods. Drinks are a big thing for me. I live for my chais and starbucks frappuchinnos. I am going to try to just use those things as treats if I reach a certain goal and then to make sure to limit how much i drink.

I too have alot of weight to lose, like 60# if not a little more. I hope this will help me. I am not on any weight-loss program like WW, etc. I was going to try it on my own first. Grr...I cant believe that it had escaped me. Hopefully I can set a better example for my kids, one still at home, ds 18 yo homeschooled senior. Just recently my ds,dd and sil had lost alot of weight. My hb and I are the only ones that are overweight. : (
