Last night the big surprise was that my DH took me to the George Strait concert and to a Bed and Breakfast Inn. He had a friend from church come over and she spent the night with our kids. I feel really spoiled. The seats for the concert were really good and the Inn was beautiful and very relaxing. I am very blessed to have a great DH.
When I returned this morning I took my 9 yr old DD shopping. We have never really gone clothes shopping and her clothes were just a little snug. We have noticed that she is very self concious of what she looks like. We never mention the word diet, fat, weight loss, or anything of the sort in our home. We say that we are eating healthier or trying to exercise to feel good. Well, when I took her shopping and we walked out of Kohls she was very quiet. I asked her what was wrong and she got a little emotional and said she felt bad that I spent so much money on her. I told her she was so worth it!! I just want her to feel totally confident and comfortable in her clothes. So maybe I won't get any extra cartridges this month but I don't care because she is so much more important.
Anyway, I am going to officially start on Monday with a fresh start. Wish me luck because I will need it.

I often say I won the "parent lottery", my Mom did that kind of stuff quite often. Of course, I didn't realize all the sacrifices they made 'til my early twenties. You've obviously done a great job raising her that she can see that already.
BTW, I LOVE George Strait. DH and I went a few years ago. He puts on a great show! My cousin and I want to see Rascal Flatts on Feb 15th, so I called her DH and told her that's what she really wants for V-Day and she called mine (they need a little help!!)
