Intro from Amy
My name is Amy. I have been married 3.5 years to Brian. We have 2 daughters, 6 years old and 2 years old. We are currently living in a small town in Montana. I have been struggling with my weight since college, so that would be 16 years now. I did WW a few years ago and lost 20 lbs before my wedding. Then I stopped and gained all that back and then some. My town's rec center started a Meltdown challenge last week. The program is 10 weeks long. I thought this was a great time to start. I weighed in last Monday at 183 lbs and almost 40% body fat, I about died! The trainer helped me plan my workout during the week. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I will walk on the treadmill for 45 minutes. On Tuesday and Thursdays, I have a kickboxing class and then I go to a weight training class. I wasn't sure about the kickboxing class, but it has been fun and intense workouts. I also pulled out my WW books and have been watching what I eat. My biggest challenge will be cooking dinner for the family. According to DH there are 4 food groups: meat, potatoes, gravy and beer. He is a very picky eater. I would love any suggestions for meals. Good Luck to everyone! We can all do this!

Great to meet you Amy!! Sounds like you have a great goal and a plan to achieve it. I really need all the motivation I can get right now!!
Hi Amy! I've wanted to take kickboxing classes too. I haven't been brave enough to do it yet though. Please keep us updated on your progress.
Melissa-
I was very nervous about taking the kickboxing class. I thought only the fit people do those type of things. When the trainer told me that there were a lot of new beginners in her class, I thought I would give it a go. It is a 45 minute class...intense workout, but the time goes by too fast. Give it a try.
Wow Amy, sounds like my husband is your husbands twin! He also prefers meat, potatoes and beer.(minus the gravy and add pizza!) It is really hard and I typically make something different for him and my son, and make something healthier for myself. Not good for him or my son, but the healthy meal is there if they want to eat it! I try anyway!
